Gaenor Michel is an associate in the firm’s Insurance and Legal Liability Department. Gaenor assists Christo Potgieter and John Smit with personal injury matters, veld fires, slip and falls, damages caused by animals and other forms of legal liability, as well as with insurance coverage advice and disputes.

Gaenor obtained her BA (2013), BA Hons (Philosophy) (cum laude) (2014), LLB (2017), and MA (Philosophy) (cum laude) (2020) degrees through the University of Stellenbosch. In December 2025, she obtained her PhD in Bioethics from the University of Stellenbosch.

Gaenor completed her Practical Vocational Training in November 2022 and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in April 2023.
