Melanie brings extensive experience in legal administration, litigation management, and team leadership to her role as Human Resources Manager at BDP Attorneys. With over a decade in the legal sector, she has developed a solid foundation in team development, compliance, and strategic operations.

Prior to joining BDP Attorneys in 2022, Melanie held leadership positions at VDM Attorneys and Visser & Partners, where she managed litigation teams, oversaw compliance, and contributed to key firm decisions. Since becoming part of the BDP team, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, client management expertise, and operational excellence, making her a natural fit for her role in human resources.

Her transition into Human Resources is backed by her Higher Certificate in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and her ongoing BComm Degree in Human Resources Management. With a strong technical background in legal systems and a people-first approach, Melanie is dedicated to driving talent development, enhancing staff engagement, and supporting organisational growth.

Her strategic vision and hands-on leadership play a key role in shaping BDP Attorneys' HR policies, ensuring a dynamic and high-performing work environment that aligns with the firm’s commitment to excellence.

Andy holds an LLB from the University of the Western Cape. He is currently completing his articles of clerkship at BDP Attorneys under John Smit and Rosshin Rossouw.

Gaenor holds a BA, a BA Hons (cum laude), an LLB and an MA (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch. Her MA thesis focussed on wrongful life delictual actions and the ethical desirability thereof. She is currently completing her articles of clerkship at BDP Attorneys under Christo Potgieter and John Smit. Gaenor is also a registered PhD student at Stellenbosch University, working towards a PhD in the field of Bioethics.
